  • John Browett

    John Browett Bio

    John Browett is an experienced chair, board adviser and former retail chief executive. He is currently Non-Executive Chair of Cifas, Yoti and the Institute of Directors, and a Senior Advisor to Boston Consulting Group.

    His previous leadership roles include Chief Executive of Dunelm, Monsoon Accessorize and Dixons Retail, as well as Senior Vice President of Retail at Apple. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Tesco, including CEO of tesco.com, where he helped launch and grow the business.

  • Dame Ruth May

    Dame Ruth May Bio

    Dame Ruth May is a Strategic Advisor to Liaison Group, Saxton Bampfylde, HCA Healthcare UK, and Anglia Ruskin University. She is a highly respected nursing leader with nearly four decades of experience in the NHS. As Chief Nursing Officer for England (2019–2024), she played a pivotal role increasing the nursing workforce and led the profession through the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Previously, she held senior leadership roles at NHS Improvement and multiple NHS Trusts. A passionate advocate for nursing excellence and innovation, she led initiatives such as the “Stop the Pressure” campaign. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded a Damehood (DBE) in 2022 and holds multiple honorary doctorates.

    Marko Balabanovic Bio

    Marko Balabanovic is Chief Technology Officer for Our Future Health, a charity working in partnership with the NHS creating the world's largest health research programme of its kind. He has over 25 years’ experience leading technology teams and developing innovations in academia, corporations, and start-ups, in both the UK and US.

    He also spent 5 years as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of NHS Digital. He studied Computer Science at Cambridge University, and has a PhD in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) from Stanford.

  • Dr Nikita Kanani MBE

    Dr Nikita Kanani MBE Bio

    Dr Nikita Kanani MBE is a GP, NHS leader, and Global Medical Director at Neko Health, where she leads preventive health strategy across Europe and the United States. She is one of the most senior NHS clinicians of her generation — formerly National Medical Director for Primary Care at NHS England, SRO for Primary Care during the pandemic, Deputy SRO for the COVID-19 vaccination programme, and Director of Integration leading the clinical merger of NHS England, HEE, and NHS Digital.

    She continues to practise as an NHS GP in south-east London and holds advisory and academic roles including Expert Adviser to the Jamie Oliver Group, regular Sky News commentator, Visiting Professor at the University of Sunderland, and UK delegate to UN Women. She also co-hosts the podcast Sari, Not Sorry! with her sister Dr Sheila Kanani MBE. Outside work, she is a mum of two, a weightlifter, and a reiki practitioner. A passionate advocate for prevention, equity, and innovation, she holds an MBE for services to Primary Care and was named Professional of the Year at the Asian Awards 2023.

  • Mary Basterfield

    Mary Basterfield Bio

    Mary is an experienced Plc CFO, and most recently was Group CFO and Executive Director of S4 Capital Plc, the tech led, digital advertising, marketing and technology services company disrupting the industry with AI. Her experience spans e-commerce and technology, media, strategy and financial management of businesses undergoing rapid growth and change.

    Previously, Mary was Group Finance Director at Just Eat Plc, where she led the finance team through the class one merger with Takeaway.com. Mary has also held the roles of CFO at UKTV and CFO for Hotels.com at Expedia Group Inc. She began her executive career in the music industry and held senior finance positions at Warner Music and Sony Music.

    Her non-executive career to date includes serving as Audit Chair, SID and Vice Chair for the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. She has also held the roles of Trustee for UCL Students’ Union and the National Cancer Research Institute, and been a Non-Executive Director and Audit Chair for Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

  • Omar Din

    Omar Din Bio

    Omar is Executive Partner and CEO of Bourne Health and a Non-Executive Director at NHS Online. He is a senior healthcare leader with more than 20 years’ experience in strategy, transformation and operational delivery across primary care, digital health and health systems in the UK and internationally. His focus is on improving access, quality and outcomes for patients.

    He previously served as CEO of the UK’s largest primary care organisation, leading strategy and operations nationally across over 70 NHS services, a workforce of more than 1,500 staff and services for around one million patients. He has founded and scaled several health-tech ventures, including a GP online consultation platform deployed across more than one million patients and a population health analytics platform scaled to over three million patients.

    Alongside his executive and board roles, Omar holds academic appointments at UCL, the University of Oxford and Harvard, and advises healthcare and health-tech organisations in the UK and internationally.

  • Professor Ian Abbs

    Professor Ian Abbs Bio

    Professor Ian Abbs is a transplant nephrologist, clinical academic and senior NHS leader with extensive experience across healthcare delivery, research, innovation and life sciences. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust from 2019 to 2025, having previously held the roles of Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer. He is now serving as interim Chief Medical Officer. During his leadership at Guy’s and St Thomas’, he oversaw one of the UK’s largest NHS trusts, with responsibility for five hospital campuses, more than 23,000 staff and a £3.2 billion turnover.

    Alongside his executive leadership, Ian is Professor of Medicine at King’s College London and has played a leading role in advancing digital transformation and genomics across the NHS. He led the implementation of the EPIC electronic health record at Guy’s and St Thomas’, chairs the South East Genomic Medicine Service Partnership Board, sits on the NHS England Genomics Board, and contributes to NHS England’s Digital Transformation Portfolio Board. He also leads work on the London secure data environment and supports a range of healthcare innovation initiatives and start-ups.

  • Simon Morris

    Simon Morris Bio

    Simon Morris is one of the UK’s most accomplished creative business leaders, with more than 35 years’ experience shaping some of the world’s best-known brands. He has held senior marketing and creative leadership roles at Virgin, Sky, LoveFilm and Amazon, where he became the company’s first Global Chief Creative Officer.

    A serial entrepreneur and investor, Simon co-founded 365 Corp and LoveFilm, helping to build both into major digital success stories. He has also supported the growth of businesses including Graze and Tails, and advised organisations such as LEGO and Autonomy.

    Alongside his commercial career, Simon is Chair of Novel and Object Media, and serves as Chairman of JAAQ.org and DiO. He was appointed a Governor of the London Museum in 2022.
